About the classes
To provide a relaxed and a non competitive, light hearted and enjoyable group atmosphere in which to learn dance techniques, improve your overall fitness and to boost your self Image.The upbeat, Arabic and modern music will soon sweep you away into a friendly and uplifting experience, in a sociable and friendly dance gathering making new friends.
Dress Code
Comfortable everyday casual wear is fine. Covered if you wish. Bring a hip-scarf or veil to tie around and accentuate the hips - Barefooted, Ballet or jazz shoes.
What to expect at a typical class
All our programmes and tuition are very well thought out , choreographed and prepared with you in mind, emphasising your overall well-being - fitness and safety and lots of FUN FUN FUN!!!!
A typical Adult Class
WARM UP - Gentle moves, mobilising the whole of the body followed by a Pulse-Up incorporating typical dance moves.
TECHNIQUES - To bring greater control and improve strength and suppleness to the body by learning isolation moves, drills and fluid movements.
IMPROVISATION - To allow self expression, let your hair down and show off a little and to bring out your beautiful inner self.
CHOREOGRAPHY - A sequence of carefully thought out moves which can be added to week by week for you develop your confidence and full potential as a dancer.
COOL DOWN - Gentle movements and stretches which are essential after dancing to prevent soreness and stiffness in the muscles.

The proprietors of Desert Dancers are fully insured for teaching Adults and Children, are registered Dance Teachers with MADN (Mosaic Arabic Dance Network). All new dancers are required to fill in a short 'Fit to Dance' questionnaire
The Company's Public Liability Insurance and The Public Performance License Policies may be inspected on request. Both Lynn and Faye are trained 'First Aiders' and are qualified in 'Anatomy and Physiology. ensuring your safety at all times.
